Counter IED Dismounted Operations

The CIEDDOPS course was created to enhance each operator’s capabilities to prepare for, respond to, and mitigate an IED threat utilizing an advanced training methodology. This is accomplished through supplying each individual operator’s toolbox with innovative and proven techniques from a global operational perspective. Tools and technologies will be highlighted which were selected specifically to compliment the CIEDDOPS mission. Upon completion of this 80-hour course, operators will be better prepared to respond to the following mission objectives. This course can be customized to meet specific training needs based on available time and objectives.

Mission Objectives

The following set of mission objectives have been identified as capability gaps within the operator community.

  • Urban Dismounted Operations
  • Vertical Dismounted Operations
  • Confined Space/Subterranean
  • Extended Dismounted Operations
  • Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED)
  • Person Borne IED (PBIED)
  • Coordinated Attack
  • Mass Casualty Incident (MCI)
